In December 2000, Scott Willett met Matt at a local
hangout. They instantly became friends, and Scott being the good "dad" he is fixed us up. We knew pretty much
from the start that we were meant for each other.
Matt and I got to share many Aggie experiences together, including football games, classes
(yuk), getting our Aggie rings (Whoop!), and finally graduation. We also met some of our best friends during this time.
On the weekends you can normally find us at the coast, fishing. If we are apart,
Matt is probably hunting and I'm probably at a horse show.
Matt proposed on January 2nd, 2004. We were in Port O'Connor fishing, and Matt was
drinking an unusual amount :) We caught a few trout, then he asked if I wanted to go to Sunday beach (a beautiful beach
only accessable by boat with the bay on one side and the surf on the other). We got to the beach and I was in a hurry
to get out (nature called), but Matt was in his boat messing around. I was yelling at him to hurry and noticed he was
getting a Crown bag. I asked him what it was for, and quick thinker he is, said it was to put sand dollars in.
I loved to find sand dollars, so of course I believed him.
